In her own words
“I Finally Feel Strong, Capable, and Like a Woman Again”
After having my two children ten years apart, I never received the postnatal support I really needed. Like many women, I assumed leaking, feeling weak and having less confidence in my body were just part of getting older.
By the time my youngest was seven, my bladder control had become a real problem. I found myself planning where the nearest toilet was, worrying about leaking and avoiding situations where I thought I might have an accident.
It wasn't just affecting my body—it was affecting my confidence too. I felt old, broken and desperately wanted to feel like myself again.
I'd already tried pelvic floor exercises before, but I never really knew whether I was doing them correctly or if they were actually helping. It felt like I was doing endless Kegels without getting anywhere.
The West 6 Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Programme was completely different.
Instead of repeating the same exercises every day, the programme gradually progressed through different positions and movements, helping me build strength step by step.
“I finally feel strong, capable and like a woman again.”
Each level built on the previous one. I started by learning how to correctly activate my pelvic floor muscles before progressing through exercises that developed my strength, endurance and coordination. As I became stronger, the exercises became harder, giving me confidence that I was continually moving forwards.
The exercise demonstrations, technique guidance and structured progression meant I always knew what I should be doing next. Rather than wondering whether I was doing my exercises correctly, I felt confident that I was following a programme designed to help me improve.
As I progressed through the programme, I didn't just notice changes in my pelvic floor strength, my bladder control improved, my confidence returned and I stopped constantly worrying about leaking.
Perhaps the biggest change wasn't just physical—it was emotional.
I stopped feeling embarrassed, stopped feeling limited by my symptoms and started trusting my body again.
Today, I finally feel strong, capable and like a woman again.
Looking back, I only wish I'd started sooner.
