“I Thought My Body Was Broken Beyond Repair”
After my third child was born, I felt like my body had been broken beyond repair. I had a prolapse and, to be honest, I was feeling so low before my first appointment that I almost didn't go.
I knew pelvic floor exercises were important, but I didn't want to be told to do more Kegels. Then I discovered the West 6 Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Programme.
For the first time, I understood that recovery wasn't just about squeezing my pelvic floor—it was about following a structured programme that rebuilt my strength step by step. I finished the first session believing that I could recover, with a clear plan and all the tools I needed to begin rebuilding my health.
“I thought my body was broken beyond repair.”
The gradual progression gave me confidence, and knowing I had support and guidance whenever I needed it helped me trust the process, even when progress felt slow.
Today, I feel hopeful about my recovery and confident that I have the knowledge and exercises to continue getting stronger.
If you're putting off asking for help because you feel embarrassed or think your body is beyond repair, I'd encourage you to take that first step.
I nearly didn't—and I'm so glad I did.
